Interested in improving your Ph.D. adviser/advisee relationship? The Chemistry Department has teamed up with Theater Delta to offer two workshops on February 8, 2018, to guide you to improved productivity! The workshops are open to all Duke STEM faculty, graduate students, and postdocs.
Theater Delta will provide a 1 p.m. workshop exclusively for mentors (faculty advisers), followed by a 4 p.m. session exclusively for mentees (graduate students and postdocs). The workshops will feature professional actors acting out scenes you will recognize as typical adviser-student interactions. There is no role-playing on your part! You watch, you listen, and if you so choose, enter the discussion. Each session will last approximately an hour.
The event is sponsored by the Duke UCEM, The Graduate School, Trinity College, and the Department of Chemistry’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion and Community.
